Steve Marton is currently a Partner in VisioCap, LLC a lower middle market private equity firm that focuses on business in the consumer products category. In addition, Steve provides consulting and advisory services to companies and investors in the consumer package goods industry with a focus in the baby and pet sectors. Previously, Steve was the Senior Operating Advisor at Pegasus Capital Advisors, a lower middle market private equity firm. Steve has spent over 20 years in general management, new product development and brand leadership in the consumer packaged goods and pet care industries. Prior to joining Pegasus Capital, Steve was Group President of the Office Products Division of Newell Rubbermaid, a $2 billion global division of consumer brands including Dymo, Waterman, Parker, Sharpie, Rolodex and many others and earlier served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Hill’s Pet Nutrition, the largest manufacturer of premium pet food to the pet specialty class of trade and veterinary profession, under the Science Diet and Prescription Diet brand names. Steve sits on the ASTM F15.19 Committee for Infant Bedding and also serves as the main point of contact to the CPSC and other Regulatory & Legislative bodies on behalf of the various companies that he is involved with. Steve also serves on numerous Boards including the Board of Directors for PetSmart Charities where he currently serves as Chairman, the Board of Overseers for the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University, the Board of Directors for the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts and the Board of Directors for BreathableBaby.
