Donald Mays is a Managing Director within Deloitte & Touche’s Supply Chain Risk Management practice, focusing on product safety, compliance and quality assurance. He brings more than 35 years of technical experience leading to a deep understanding of how companies can identify and mitigate their risks. Don was formerly the Senior Director, Product Safety and Technical Policy for Consumer Reports. He led his organization’s product-safety program in its effort to reduce the number of unsafe products in the marketplace and help educate consumers about hidden safety hazards. Don also spent much of his career developing and operating laboratories for Consumer Reports, Intertek, and the Good Housekeeping Institute. He actively serves on standards development committees for ASTM-International and was formerly on their Board of Directors as well as the boards of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and the International Consumer Product Health and Safety Organization (ICPHSO).  He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Kid in Danger.
