Chin Kuay is a frequent speaker in product safety and regulatory compliance symposiums around the country. He has participated in the 2015 and 2016 ICPHSO sessions as a panelist.

He is currently the senior manager of product compliance in Office Depot. Prior to the current position, he worked in a similar area in Walmart.

Prior to his regulatory compliance positions, he held business positions in the U.S., Hong Kong, and Singapore.

His business positions exposed him to common practices by foreign factories, ranging from “golden samples” to the importance of understanding local cultures and “handshake deals” in addition to the traditional reliance on supplier contracts, technical specifications, and third-party testing laboratories to ensure high-quality and safe products. 

Educated in the United States, Australia, and Singapore, he holds a JD from University of Arkansas School of Law and a MBA from Curtin University in Australia.
