Associate Director, Regulatory and Technical Relations

Rick Hackman, Associate Director - Regulatory and Technical External Relations, has been with P&G for 28 years. Rick directs the P&G North America Regulatory and Technical External Relations organization which is responsible for regulatory compliance, regulatory/legislative influence, and technical external relations activities across all products and operations in the Region.  This group is also responsible for crisis preparedness and Business Continuity Planning for the North America business. 

Prior to joining P&G, Rick worked for Borden Inc. as Manager, Health & Safety Technical Services. 

Rick has a B.S. in Biology from the University of Cincinnati, a M.S. in Environmental Sciences from the University of Cincinnati, and an M.B.A. in Finance from Xavier University.   Rick is also certified by the American Board of Industrial Hygiene in Comprehensive Practice, as well as by the Institute of Professional Environmental Practice as a Qualified Environmental Professional.

  • Advisory Board Member for the Kid’s Risk Inc. Program.  Dr. Kim Thompson, Harvard School of Public Health, Director of Children’s Health.  January 2009 – Present. 
  • Co-chair of the ASTM Liquid Laundry Pack Safety Subcommittee.  July 2015 – Present. 
  • Executive Mentor – Cintrifuse and the Brandery – new business incubators.  September 2012 – Present. 
  • Co-Chair, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Office of Children’s Health, Regulatory Policy Workgroup.  January 2003 – October 2005. 
  • Member, EPA Children’s Health Protection Federal Advisory Committee, May 2002 – 2007.
