Plenary Session # 8: Non-Government Organizations and Industry – Do They Have the Same Objectives?

The focus of the session will be how to enhance the interactions between non-government organizations, consumer groups, industry and other key stakeholders to achieve joint progress in product safety. The objectives of this session will include: 1) Presenting examples where NGOs, stakeholders and industry have collaborated toward mutual product safety goals; 2) Exploring best practices for engagement between NGOs, stakeholders and industry; and, 3) Offering perspectives on how to enhance future engagements with these groups.  Best practices will be shared as well as potential areas of opportunity.  Audience participation and discussion will be welcomed during this session.
